Birth to Three Matters

The birth to three framework has been developed to support all childcare practitioners working with children from birth to three.

The framework steers away from subjects and specific areas of experience and distinct curriculum headings and takes as its focus the child. It identifies four aspects which celebrate the skill and competence of babies and young children, highlighting the interrelationship between learning, growth, development and the environment in which they are cared for and educated.

Each aspect is divided into four components and we use these components as a guideline for observing your child/children at play
